Can I Register A Domain Name Myself?

By Richard Brooks of Multima$tery Marketing Group

Several people who may be new to the Internet, or new to Internet business wonder... “Can I register a domain name myself?” Well you’d be happy to know that it is amazingly simple to register a domain name independently. It’s really not as hard as you might think. Just follow the 4 easy steps below to register your domain name inexpensively and hassle-free:

1) Choose a domain name registrar (see resource section below)

2) Input a domain name you want to register (try to get the popular .com extension if possible)

3) Submit payment for your domain

4) And that’s basically it - it’s yours!

See that wasn’t hard at all now was it?

Now the beauty of all this is that any and all domain names that you register is your web property otherwise known as intellectual property. And it can remain yours as long as you continue to renew it. You can renew annually, or even pay for it in 5 to 10 year blocks right up-front, it’s all up to you!

Now that you have your domain name registered there are several things you can do with it.

- You can build a website around it
- You can redirect it to a pre-existing website or blog
- You could sell it for a profit
- As it matures and builds value, you might even be able to borrow cash against it!

Yep! A simple domain name can be of real value for you. A domain name is the start of all websites on the internet. It is a small yet giant step all at the same time.

Yes it is really easy. Almost too easy. At one point I had over 100 domain names.
