Learn more… So what’s the catch? Basically it’s real straight forward, these companies provide you with free internet website hosting because they all benefit from it somehow. Either they make money from other forms of advertising separate from your site -– or they make money through free members who decide to upgrade and pay for more features to their website – and also some thrive through donations and outside funding. That’s basically all there is to it. It is very important that you understand that with a free web hosting, although you may get by with it for a while, the free web hosting services control everything - and they can pull your site at anytime. Therefore if you’re going to use free hosting no matter how great it seems - you need to be sure to back up all your content early and often. Not just on their servers, but also with your own personal backup method like saving it to your own computer, flashdrive, etc. Now you're safe if the site ever goes down – or if they decide to ax your site for any reason - you can still pick up your content, dust it off, and put it right back up again somewhere else! Many people have lost their content completely when using free hosting and not backing up their data - so I warn you DO NOT IGNORE THIS VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. Well that about wraps it up!
