Today we will take a look at 5 Overlooked Internet Marketing Strategies that really work! 1) Viral Marketing This is a form of marketing that multiplies itself. A few examples are a funny video, email tag, articles, affiliate programs, etc. Viral marketing is a form of marketing that motivates people to voluntarily pass your message along to their social networks. This generates Free Advertising for you that scan spiral on & on indefinitely. 2) Signature You'll find signatures (or Sigs) in places like forums and in your email account. This is one of the most neglected pieces of marketing real estate ever! In your 'Sig. file' you can place a little classified style promo to your website or blog. You can set-up your Sig. by going to your email user control panel - and in in forums they’re typically located in your ‘Edit Options’. Take ADvantage of this precious piece of miniature marketing real estate for increased exposure. 3) Profile Many people join forums, social networks and other online communities, and never even bother to fill out their profile – not even a little bit. This is a lost opportunity to present yourself effectively. Be advised, many people who read your posts will naturally gravitate to view your profile, in hopes of learning more about you. If that space is vacant, it leaves them with nothing further to attract them to you and your business. 4) Articles Whether you Love or hate to write, you had better at least learn to churn out a few good articles from time to time, because Article Marketing is Highly effective! You can submit articles to sites like EzineArticles.com and provide a link to your site in your author bio. What this can do for you is increase traffic to your site, as well as provide you with a valuable Backlink from one of the most respected websites on the Internet! 5) Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Now this is one that the Pros live by -- And newbie’s fail by time and time again. Most likely because they don’t have a clue as to what it really is - and what it can do for them. In a nutshell, SEO can save you a lot of money on paying for advertising, because it can be done absolutely free, and it’s really not hard. There are various facets to search engine optimization, but A Major ingredient is the use of Good Keywords. Write your articles and other web content each around a targeted keyword(s) that people actually input to search with at the search engines. Doing this will help your content get found and indexed by search engine spiders. There are a few useful free keywords tools available. I have listed one that I use with great results below. |
